About Anmut

Anmut Hostel is located Usambara mountains along Lushoto to Magamba Rainforest tarmac road which is 6km from Lushoto town, We have three types of bedrooms - Private rooms, Double/Twin rooms and Dormitories. Our property has 10 rooms in total where 34 guests can be accommodated at once. The remoteness of our property offers an ideal retreat for travelers who seek a place away from hustle and bustle of modern life at urban areas. The area is dominated with calm weather, lush forestry, marvelous escarpments, rare birds and colobus monkeys, some occasions you might see unexpected visitors (birds) knocking at your window mirror how awesome your stay will be. The area has been chosen due to existing nature and infrastructure as most means of transportation can be accessible. It is an ideal and prime place to stay. 300 meters from the Hostel area there is historical symbol of German Rest House constructed during colonial ruling far back in the 1880’s. The Germans were attracted by the weather that was almost similar to Europe and decided to set a base here. You can easily hike to various Usambara attractions while at our property - Magamba rainforest and Irente viewpoint.
