There are complimentary bikes and kayaks for guests to use . You can launch kayaks directly in front of the house Karragarra is the smallest island with the best sandy beach of all the Southern Moreton Bay Islands You get there by catching the vehicle ferry from Redland Bay which run regularly approximately every hour . There are also passenger ferries that provide you with free interisland access to the 3 other inhabited islands which have shops , restaurants , clubs and golf . There is no shop on Karragarra and that is the way we and the locals like it For supplies it is a 3 minute free ferry over to Macleay or Russell which have supermarkets etc. Karragarra is a safe friendly quiet island with very little vehicular traffic . There is a webber and bbq at the house and there is a community bbq near the swimming enclosure at the beach where the ferry terminal is From the house you can go fishing , crabbing , bike riding or kayaking or just watch the ferries go by from the front verandah . You can also light a fire in the fire pit with beer or wine in hand If you like peace and quiet Karragarra is the place to be
