Athena residence is the sister property to Athena Pallas but is more intimate – with only 20 luxury maisonettes renovated in 2018 on a green lawn, around a beautiful 600 square meter swimming pool with waterfalls, a small island, gushing water, a Jacuzzi, and a children’s pool. Happily, all are a similar generous size, and all boast breath-taking pool and mountain view, floor to ceiling windows, private verandas with sitting area in front of the pool, private sunbeds and umbrellas. Nespresso machines, coffee, and tea facilities, two generously stocked minibars, Chopard bath amenities. Upon arrival guests are greeted by the maisonettes' entourage manager and host – who will be in the background to take care of you, without you even realizing they are there, helpfully popping up when you need them. Breakfast is a feast served with sparkling wine and can be taken at the dining table – either indoors or out. For lunch, if you opt for the chef to cook all your meals we had a picnic prepared in a beautiful hamper, which could be taken on a short stroll down to the secluded beach. Team of Athena Residence can, however, help you if you do want to venture out, making restaurant bookings or arranging for a therapist to come and give in-villa massages. They excel at the thoughtful touches – greek chocolate on your pillow before bed or a surprise private table set up in your room, complete with rose petals, champagne.
