Previous guests found that Abjar Grand Hotel was in a convenient spot for public transportation. It's only a five-minute drive to Dubai International Airport and within walking distance of Hor Al Anz metro station, which put the whole city at their fingertips.
Travellers who took advantage of the hotel's complimentary shuttle service were not disappointed. They reported that the shuttle was prompt, and that they were happy to come out at all hours of the night.
Guests were impressed with the size of the rooms, which gave them plenty of space to spread out. They also noted that the rooms were kept impeccably clean.
Quite a few guests complained that the entire hotel smelled of cigarette smoke. Abjar Grand Hotel offers smoking and non smoking rooms, but some guests felt that even the non smoking rooms smelled as if they had been smoked in. Several guests also complained that they were put in a smoking room despite requesting otherwise.
Many guests complained that the staff was not very friendly. Most of these complaints stemmed from the feeling of being ignored by employees. They reported that most of the staff did not smile or greet them as they walked by.
Multiple guests reported issues with both the Wi-Fi and the cable TV. For many of them, neither of these things worked at all during their stay, which caused them unnecessary inconvenience.
