The Palace Hotel hotel is a family run establishment in the heart of seaside Oban.
The 13 rooms are all en-suite and feature either a bath or shower. Guests can choose from a host of room configurations which all come standard with a television, writing desk with chair and tea and coffee making facilities.
The hotel features a television/piano lounge and coal effect gas fire, both situated on the second floor of the building, which is also a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The dining room is home not only to the delicious meals served there but also breathtaking views of the bay.
Situated on a main road, The palace hotel is surrounded by a number of transport links, such as Oban Rail Station. Oban Distillery and St. John's Cathedral are both a short walk away.

Very friendly staff.
The staff at The Palace is genuinely friendly and welcoming. It seems as though they could not do enough to ensure that their guest are happy and comfortable. Perhaps some of this warmth and charm is due to this being a family run establishment.

Spacious, comfortable rooms.
The newly refurbished hotel rooms are excellently sized and furnished to maximize the spacious feel of the rooms. In addition to this, the beds are also famously comfortable.

Breakfast is not included in the price.
Although the hotel rates offer a value for money deal, combining top notch locations and excellent comfort – this is not however, inclusive of breakfast and guests will need to purchase this at an additional cost should they wish to eat on site.

Troublesome technology.
The Wi-Fi service can be inconsistent at times, with a weak signal or being totally non-existent. In additional to this, some guests have reported the performance of their in-room TVs to be a bit shoddy as well!

Main street location comes with main street noise.
With its central location on a the main road of Oban, one can expect there to be quite a bit of noise in one of the most busy parts of the area. With a host of restaurants and pubs nearby, this noise can continue late into the night.
