This lovingly adapted guest house beside the Bonifacius Bridge, which spans a canal in gorgeous World Heritage Site Bruges, is steeped in history. Doubling as a Flemish painter’s studio, it counts Winston Churchill and Belgian royalty among its former guests. Two unique rooms are available, both featuring en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, fireplaces and garden views. The Pasionara room showcases a vaulted Gothic ceiling. The Lune de Miel room, which hosted honeymooning Belgian royals, boasts mediaeval stained-glass windows. Conveniences include complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, a library, and a beautiful mediaeval walled garden. A freshly prepared three-course breakfast is offered each morning.
