The convenient city centre location was perfect for a city break as it was opposite the railway station for mainline trains towards Oslo and a short walk from the airport bus and light rail stations. Reviewers also appreciated being able to walk to many city centre attractions, historic buildings, museums, music venues, parks, shopping areas and dining options. Those wishing to explore the city centre on two wheels loved the free bicycle hire. Travellers were also within striking distance of stunning national parks and could easily reach the harbour for ferry connections.

Guests liked the efficient, friendly and multilingual personnel at this family-owned hotel. Many were upbeat about the continental breakfast buffet. Diners were often impressed with the food at the brasserie as well as the light meals at the bar.
