Poggio Imperiale is located in the historic area called "Oltrarno", the left bank of the Arno river, a place of art, of life, but also of handcraft and artisanal commerce. The nearby tourist sites and monuments are Porta Romana, Boboli Gardens, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, Piazzale Michelangelo, the church of San Miniato al Monte, the Forte Belvedere and the church of Santo Spirito. The apartments are located in a nineteenth-century villa built by the ancestors of the current owners. The villa was recently renovated following the principles of eco-friendly architecture. The decor is very cozy, with original furniture of the family, warm colours and traditional materials such as terracotta, marble and wood. Guests have access to a wide terrace overlooking Porta Romana, a laundry room self-service style with washing machines, dryers and ironing table. Optic Fibre Wi-Fi is free. Guarded underground parking is available upon request and for an additional fee.
