Pros: The chalets are lovely. We stayed in Croft no4. The views were great, and it was a great base for travelling the NW coast. Mid-July and no midges which was a welcomed surprise. We did find that getting booked into one of the few local restaurants wasn’t easy. There are 4 or 5 quite close by, but ALL require advance booking, sometimes even 3 days in advance isn’t enough time, so be warned and be prepared. Also the food van on the bridge was closed for the 5 days that we were there, so don’t count on that either. All in all we loved out stay at the lodges and would definitely return, but would book the restaurants well in advance. Cons: Nothing

Lovely chalets in a great part of the NW coast

Pros: The location and view were great! Our host, Karen, was wonderful-she was very attentive and even helped us when my husband was stung by a wasp. Cons: Couldn’t get the hot water to work in the kitchen

We had a wonderful time in Kylesku and the surrounding areas and the accommodation was fantastic.

Pros: Location was great, layout of lodge was good Cons: On arrival there was nothing there to make as little as a cup of tea or coffee. When we asked about this we were told somewhat casually to go to the next town where there was a shop…… a 35km round trip. After this reception we never approached the people running the place for anything else as we did not appreciate the throw-away nature of their responses The Kylesku hotel was within walking distance and fine to eat in but way overpriced for the quality of the food. £120 for a simple dinner for two.
