About Chancellor Hotel on Union Square

The Chancellor Hotel on Union Square is a boutique hotel dating from 1914 in the heart of San Francisco near the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the TransAmerica Pyramid. The Edwardian style hotel has a lobby with 20 foot vaulted ceilings, oriental rugs, period furnishings, and photgraphs of the hotel's construction a century ago. The entire hotel and its 137 rooms were completely renovated in 2007. Room features include: bath tubs plus showers, make-up/shaving mirrors, complimentary toiletries, hair dryers, and blackout curtains. Rooms are available with refrigerators upon request. Baby cots are also available on request. The entire hotel is non-smoking. Wi-Fi is available free in all rooms as well as in the lobby, bar, dining room and meeting room. There is a restaurant which serves casual American fare and a bar/lounge. Room service is offered at limited times. For business travelers the hotel offers small meeting rooms, audio-visual equipment, and business services. Parking is available for a fee.
