About The Little Hide
Near historic York, The Little Hide offers childfree camping facilities.
There are eight camping pods, a cabin and a tent. Each unit has a zip-link bed (with storage space), sofa, heater, coffee table and kettle. The toilet/shower block is on-site. Beddings provided, but bring your own towels.
It’s a non-smoking site, with designated smoking area. There’s no Internet access. Free parking and packed lunches, luggage storage, laundry services and barbecue facilities (coal required) are offered. There’s a garden, a wooded walking area and fishing ponds. A local golf course and an on-site bus stop is also present.
Common self-catering facilities include a fridge and microwave. The on-site Farm Shop & Café provides takeaway breakfasts and lunches, using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
The Little Hide is just five km from historic York, where tourist attractions like York Minster Cathedral, York City Walls and the Treasurer’s House may be visited.

Although there is a rule of keeping the site quiet after a certain time in the evening, some guests ignore it and make noise even after the curfew, which can be disturbing for other guests who desire peace and quiet.
