sites

This charming boutique hotel, nestled discreetly on the third floor of a vintage Roman building, stands out as a true hidden gem in the heart of the city, offering guests a unique and authentic local experience. Its most remarkable feature is its consistently praised exceptional staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The hotel's central location makes it an ideal choice for sightseers and couples eager to explore Rome's iconic landmarks on foot, while families appreciate the availability of spacious rooms. Guests consistently highlight the hotel's cleanliness, comfortable accommodations, and the delightful breakfast. To maximize your experience, consider taking advantage of the complimentary daily tours offered by the hotel, and be aware that the entrance is tucked away within a historic courtyard, adding to its unique character.

Facilities & Amenities
The hotel, situated on the third floor of a historic building, provides essential amenities for a comfortable stay. Guests appreciate the presence of a functional, albeit small, elevator for convenient access to their rooms, though some prefer to use the stairs. Wi-Fi connectivity is available, with most guests finding it reliable, though a few reported occasional slowness. A significant highlight is the offering of free daily tours and excursions around Rome, which are highly commended for providing valuable insights into the city. Within the rooms, guests find practical amenities such as an in-room safe for valuables and a refrigerator for personal use. The hotel also provides thoughtful touches like toiletries and slippers, enhancing the overall guest comfort.

Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Guests consistently commend the hotel for its spotless cleanliness, noting that rooms are meticulously maintained and refreshed daily. The comfortable beds and quality linens contribute to a restful night's sleep, with many guests praising the firmness and overall comfort. Room sizes receive mixed feedback; while some guests, particularly those in family or quadruple accommodations, found them spacious and generous, others described standard rooms as cozy or small. Bathrooms are generally well-appointed, with good showers, though a few guests mentioned minor issues with shower design leading to water spillage or limited counter space. Noise levels vary; most guests found their rooms quiet, especially those facing the inner courtyard, though some experienced sound from adjacent rooms, the street, or the breakfast area, particularly in rooms located near the reception.

Dining & Food Quality
The hotel's breakfast consistently receives high praise from guests, often described as superb, delicious, and well worth the cost. It offers a good breakfast variety, including both sweet and savory options, traditional Italian cakes, and fresh fruits. The coffee, particularly the fresh cappuccino, is frequently highlighted as exceptional and a delightful way to start the day. While the breakfast room is noted as being on the smaller side, the staff efficiently manages seating, sometimes by suggesting time slots. Guests appreciate the quality of the food and the attentive service during breakfast, with staff often accommodating dietary restrictions and offering personalized service. The hotel does not feature an on-site restaurant or bar, but numerous highly-rated dining establishments are conveniently located nearby.

Location & Accessibility
The hotel boasts an excellent central location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Rome. Guests can easily reach most major attractions on foot, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Pantheon, typically within a 10 to 20-minute walk. Its proximity to Termini station and various metro stations also provides easy access to public transportation for destinations further afield. Situated in the vibrant Monti area, the hotel is surrounded by a plethora of restaurants, cafes, and shopping opportunities, contributing to a lively yet safe neighborhood atmosphere. While the hotel's entrance, located on the third floor of an older building, can be initially tricky to find, guests quickly adapt to its unique, tucked-away charm.

Staff & Service
The friendly staff at this hotel are consistently highlighted as a standout feature, receiving overwhelming praise for their exceptional attentive service and genuine hospitality. Guests describe them as incredibly helpful, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond to assist with any request. From providing excellent recommendations for local restaurants and sightseeing to arranging taxis and offering flexible quick check-in and check-out processes, the staff significantly enhances the guest experience. Many reviews mention personalized touches, such as welcome notes, complimentary wine, or special surprises for birthdays and anniversaries, which make guests feel truly valued. Their proactive and cheerful demeanor creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, contributing greatly to overall guest satisfaction.

Additional Information
This hotel offers a unique experience due to its hotel structure, being situated on the third floor of a multi-use historic building. Guests should be aware that access involves navigating a main gate access and an intercom system, which adds to its charm but can be a slight adjustment upon arrival. The after-hours reception operates until 11 PM, after which guests use a code for entry, a detail some found slightly inconvenient but manageable. The hotel is noted for its pet-friendly policy, accommodating guests traveling with small animals. A significant value-add is the provision of free daily tours, allowing guests to explore Rome with knowledgeable guides. The hotel also offers practical amenities like luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, further enhancing convenience for travelers.
