Best Western Hotel du Mucem (Marseille, France)

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Marseille prior to a cruise then this is a great location. It is walking distance to the terminal or perhaps a taxi ride with luggage. From some parts of the hotel you can actually see the cruise ships in the distance. If you would like to explore the area then the cathedral “la Major” is well worth a visit, though you will want to take your camera with you.

Guests feel that this property is what a budget hotel should look like. The accommodation boasts excellent prices, simple facilities and yet no scrimping on quality. Guests feel like they have had very good value for money when staying here.

You receive a warm welcome when you come here and the staff throughout the property cannot do enough for you. The housekeeping team keeps the rooms very clean, front desk are on hand to answer any queries and the breakfast staff provide an excellent spread every day.

This property has little to no kerb appeal and therefore if you are judging it from the outside you are likely to be disappointed.

The rooms are on the small size so if there are two of you in the room and you have lots of luggage with you it’s going to be a bit of a struggle to manoeuver around properly.

There is no private car park here and therefore if you are arriving by car you need to take that into consideration. The hotel recommends a public car park approximately one block away where you can receive a slight discount on their rates.
