Rooms provide good value.
The majority of guests were glad that they decided to stay here. Accommodation was spacious, bright and airy, with many guests pointing out how comfortable the beds were. Cleanliness was also up to par, and overall, guests were pleased with their rooms.
positive:
Great food.
Food was nicely prepared and served in a welcoming atmosphere. Whether guests ate at the pub or restaurant, both were full of old world charm, gracious hosts, and a good selection of menu options that were cooked just the way that guests liked.
positive:
A friendly bunch.
It seemed that whoever guests encountered, they were sure to be met with a smile and pleasant small talk. The manager was particularly hospitable, and several guests said that they were impressed with the way problems were dealt with.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Extra amenities would be nice.
Guests said that a few things would have contributed to a better experience. The absence of hair dryers in rooms was noted by many, and guests said that rooms with a shared bathroom could have benefited from a wash basin in guest quarters. And while rooms were a good size, there wasn't anywhere to get some work done or sit other than the bed.
negative:
Noise a possibility.
Music and talking coming from the downstairs pub wasn't ideal, and guests sometimes had to contend with noise due to an event. Street noise from cars coming and going also wasn't the best when it came to guests falling asleep.
negative:
Steep stairs.
This B&B has accessible rooms, but guests who weren't lucky enough to get one often complained of the climb to reach other floors. Make sure that you are prepared for some exercise in the event that you don't get a ground floor room.
