Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific central location
The Residence Bremen is situated very close to the city's main railway station, and just a short distance from the very heart of the city. Guests clearly loved the convenience of being in such a central position, finding all the cafes, bars and entertainment they were looking for within easy reach.
positive:
Friendly and accommodating staff
It was hard to find a bad word written about the staff. On the contrary, guests went out of their way to describe how friendly and upbeat they were most of the time. They were said to be easy to approach, and always willing to take the time to help their guests. Nothing seemed like too much trouble.
positive:
Good value for money
Whatever small issues guests may have had with the hotel, these seemed to have been dwarfed by the fact that guest believed they received a very good room-rate for such a central hotel. They felt they received good value for money.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some rooms a bit noisy
The Residence Bremen is built right on the main railway tracks leading into the city. While it seems that some soundproofing measures have been taken, it as mentioned that light sleepers are still likely to be disturbed by the noise from the trains at night.
negative:
Lift a little small
A couple of guests mentioned that the lift was a little small - really too small to take two people and their luggage. Those who suffer from claustrophobia will have to resign themselves to taking the stairs.
negative:
Reception not open 24 hours
Though not often mentioned, it was pointed out that reception does not stay open throughout the night. Guests arriving very late will have to be clear on what the check in procedure will be.
